Cheney is evil, Bush is just plain dumb, but evil in his own way. Both should be in jail, or better yet hanged. PBS just had and Iraq war overview, with Cheney commenting, really disgusting. For the record, I was drafted, and did serve in Vietnam, before the lottery. That Vets letter was moving.

NATO is fighting an enemy that hides among children. They are right that NATO tries not kill innocents but they are so dumb that they don't know that keeping the kids a secret wipes out the value of hiding behind them.
It is clear that local officials lie about civilian deaths because they are in bed with the militants so the whole killing goes on in a fog.
The dif , I think, is that such things get reported. In other wars dreadful things are not on the news.

After 9/11 everyone including most all the liberals were in favor of bombing the hell out of some muslims. I was all for it especially when Bush claimed it would be over very shortly and it would be paid for with oil. ( the peacenicks chanting no war for oil put an end to that)
I was never in favor of rebuilding their crap country or fighting them house to house with mosques off limits.
I signed on for dropping massive ordinance on their filthy nation and rolling thru with tanks and shooting anything that moves, not a politically correct war where we try to befriend them and play policeman between religious sects while they shoot at us from mosques.
All TBS, it's tough to get your head around but by engaging in a continuous war like this it gives your average ayrab jihadist a battlefield in which to engage his enemy instead of trying to come over here. Also military strategists understand that one needs to stay engaged with ones enemy to stay current with his capabilities.
By engaging in a long war like this new techniques, weapons and strategies are developed, a whole new generation of officers and NCO's receive real time battlefield experience.
The US military has shown an ability to successfully coordinate with other nations and together bring down rogue nations. Does China or Russia have this ability outside a rogue province?
Just sayin'

Anyone who believed one word from the Cheney/Bush/neo-con machine had to have been both moronic and delusional.

Halliburton and the Bush family investments profited handsomely during all that and from all that, however.

Chanting peaceniks had nothing to do with nothing -- but that's the kind of nonsense dipweed tinfoil-hat blather that would come from someone unbalanced like Mikey.

How about some nonsense from the Washington Post's goofball from the right, Jennifer Rubin. Let's re-invent the history of George W. Bush's presidency.

How about this gem from the commentary.

"He is responsible for one of the most popular and fiscally sober entitlement plans, Medicare Part D. "

Unbelievable, and much much more.

Beyond humorous. He left office, with a 33% approval...and now that he is doing nothing, his approval is 47%. In summary, when he is not f'in things up , 43% more people like him.....myself included.

Read the comments -- they're more telling and real than the article.

You gotta admit that he'd be a fun guy to drink beer and shoot guns with...And, we wouldn't have had the financial collapse if he'd been buying 95% of this country's mortgages, and lending the money at 3.5% like we are today.
