Dear Mid Atlantic Windsurfer:
WindsurfResource.com has teamed up with the WindVisions Launch Finders
to provide you in the mid-Atlantic with an in depth, free and ad
free launch finder . New for 2013, WindsurfResource.com now provides
an in-depth launch finder for the Hudson River Valley of NYS .
In addition, WindsurfResource.com provides a launch finder for
Coastal NJ Launches, NYC/Raritan Bay Launches, Eastern Pennsylvania Launches,
Delmarva Peninsula Launches , Chesapeake Bay Launches,
Southern Maryland Launches, Washington DC Area Launches,
mid-Virginia Launches , Tidewater Virginia Launches
and Hatteras Area Launches, where one can interact with an
interactive graphical map and wind direction filter to find a suitable launch.
Unlike other launch compilations, WindsurfResource.com's launch compilation
is up-to-date, complete, includes land and aerial photos, driving directions,
fees, hazard info, amenities, and strategy tips for when to select one launch
over another for certain weather conditions. WindsurfResource.com uses
today’s technology (the Internet) to address the problems of today
(dwindling access). Best of all, all of this information is free, with no ads
and with no strings attached.
In addition to launch descriptions, WindsurfResource.com provides lots
of other information pertinent to the mid-Atlantic windsurfer, such as a
glossary defining windsurfing terms, a beginner's corner, and a genres page,
to give the mid-Atlantic windsurfer a good overview of the sport and an
understanding as to how each aspect of the sport fits together in the
bigger picture.
Help reduce attrition in windsurfing. If you like and agree to the
contents of WindsurfResource.com, please inform your windsurf buddies
and any newbies you may encounter of this website. Such information
may inspire fellow mid-Atlantic windsurfers to continue and progress
within the sport and draw more people into windsurfing.
As a last word, the future effectiveness of this website largely depends
on feedback from you, such as providing me with updated information
on launch sites, or other pertinent information that could benefit the
mid-Atlantic windsurfer. If you are aware of other pertinent launches that
I have not included, or are aware of anything that is incorrect or
outdated, I would appreciate hearing from you about them. Just send a
message to WindsurfResource@yahoo.com .
I hope my website allows this windsurfing season to be even more
rewarding.
Sincerely,
Matt Lestina |

I have shared, and will continue to share, the name of windsurfresource.com with fellow windsurfers. I have found it quite helpful. Love the compass rose site filtering! Thanks for all your efforts setting it all up, Matt. |

This is awesome! THanks for the hard work. Seeing the picture of Sing Sign (where me and my wife learned to windsurf) is great. Good job. |

Dear Windrockwater:
I would like to add LI to my website , along with nearby western coastal CT, as this would round out my coverage of the NYC area, where a lot of people can benefit. Am very busy though, but if there is some support, that would be a help. Support being an interactive whereby when I post a first draft launch description, people can comment on it and add additional information, such as strategy tips or whatever. Support can also be indentifying lauches, and which are best etc.

Thank you, Matt, for the fine resource.
I'm going to use it to plan my first NJ windsurfing this summer. |
