Any ideas if this match will work. Gastra Swift 9.0 calling for 490cm 29 mast along with 490 Gun Sails mast Constant Curve 28(mast and sail about 5-7 years old). This is my first camber sail - two cambers and after rigging the cambers are very difficult to rotate.I have to press hard by hand for a change. I did not try on the water yet. How easily the camber should rotate>?

GaastraSwifts tend to be draft forwards, even with a too soft mast.
As such, you need lots of downhaul, loose leech to past the 3rd batten from the top, and lots of positive outhaul.
The static shape is NOT the same as the loaded shape, so outhaul is needed.
You need to rig it, tune it, then push on the sail 2' behind the mast at the boom area, to check for correct outhaul tension.

I don't know the Gaastra Swift, but Gaastra sails are cut for a softer lower mast section, which corresponds with your observation.

A stiffer bottom half would bend less and load up the cambers considerably more.

Coincidentally I have an 8.5m 3cam race sail for sale that will go perfectly with a constant curve... Razz
