Sure keep sailing the 160 in Kailua. |
That's what I thought. It'd be too expensive to ship or take it back to mainland. I'll just have Jeffrey Henderson at Hot Sails sell me a 8.0 Superfreak for my 160L board and I should be okay to keep the board there forever. |

Tell you, I wish I had that board in PuertoRico. My g/f has a Hypersonic122 there, while my Seatrend 8'9" with 18" of nose cut off is just too darn small, even with a powerful 3 cam 5.7 sail.
Most days at 7 Seas or PuntaLasMarias, the winds are 10-18, so while she planes for 3 hours, I"m swimming and trying to waterstart and uphaul for half that, sitting on shore the rest..
Guys 30 lbs lighter than me are having a whale of a time on 5.7's and 95 liter slalom boards....and kiters too, mostly with 10-13 meter kites.
I'll solve the problem by either losing 20 lbs by Christmas, or getting a bigger board over there. |
