NW--did you actually read the article you posted? It says that most people think that Obama will propose things that will help the economy (55%) but they won't get through the Republican House (30%). It seem like that is correct. What alternative term to knuckle draggers should we use for the Republican majority in the House?

NW you have my fav avatar for sure.
I also agree with NWs article. I think that O will propose things to help the middle class and the GOP will block them.
Our best hope is that the GOP will later propose the same things and pass them. I think the GOP really wants to do good things but the war against Obama interferes with that outcome.

Same as Obamacare. First proposed by the far right Heritage Foundation, then written as legislation by two GOP senators during the Bush years, then set as law by Romney in his state.
When Obama came out supporting this GOP program.....

I hope you folks realize that every keystroke hundreds of millions of Americans SEND* -- to browsers, vendors, forums, chat rooms, porn sites, banks, hospitals, lovers, John Birch sites, Daily Kos, etc. -- is being recorded and stored by the NSA, according to the latest NSA revelations. I'm safe, but how about you guys who think your screen names actually conceal your identities?

* I was told 25 years ago by the Air Force engineers developing defenses against our own capabilities that even then they could record, via satellite, every computer keystroke even if not SENT over the internet. If you think your keystrokes even just to your own word processor emit no electronic signature, you may be exposing your private parts to the U.S. Government, including the IRS, DEA, FBI, and Big Government across the board. And if you've been watching real news coverage the past few weeks, that should scare the crap out of many of you.

Yes I read the entire thing, but I did something you didn't, I didn't cherry pick the thing.
On balance, I think the poll results are very close to what I believe.
As for "knuckle draggers", you love that derogatory term, you've been using it often for quite awhile, probably have some kind of anti-knuckle dragger bumper sticker on your Chevy Volt.
What image do think of, when you think of a "knuckle dragger", is it human, or is it an animal?
Most people think of an animal.
Many people think of it as a racist term, considering the animal.
Are you sure of the race of all the people you call "knuckle dragger"?
Of all the other lame names you could call people, maybe you should pick something else that might be safer,,,,,,,,, just a suggestion.

And your suggested alternative? Antediluvian? What would you call Iowa Representative Steven King, recently scolded by Boehner:

Quote:
Mr King said that many children brought to the US from Mexico illegally as children were drug smugglers. He said 'for every one who is a valedictorian (star pupil), there's another hundred out there that weigh 130 pounds and they've got calves the size of cantaloupes because they're hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert'. He said that these people were 'undermining our culture and civilization'.

How about former representative Tancredo, who has defended King, saying he is right? Do you actually want a collection of the most outrageously racist things sitting Tea Party representatives have said? Or would you prefer troglodyte?

You don't have to adopt it yourself--if the glove don't fit...

THAT jury's in now. He has apparently given the Russians and Chinese the greatest, most devastating information ever revealed in the history of the U.S., with zero pretense of any redeeming excuse. If the WA Post report, and I'm sure many more sources by now, is accurate, he should be executed tomorrow.
