Jerry, what was your impression of the current in the new inlet when you sailed it? Would like to paddle out there soon. |

Hey Paul
The current is strong in the new inlet. It has gotten deeper and narrower on the outer part and has a big delta and shallow area on the inner side.
Was out there yesterday in my boat 3,000 seals on the beach just South of the inlet on the outside!!!

I sailed there last week. Here is a shot from the Clew-View.

3000 seals! i was hoping the swell pushing through onto the inside bar might be a good starting place for some paddlesurfing skills development with having to deal with a shorebreak. thanks. |

From the air it's beginning to look like a Caribbean isle. Till you get down on the ground and into weekend traffic. _________________ NY30 |
