Doing a little formula sailing today. Nothing major until I was finished & took out the fin and noticed a wrinkle all along the base.
Is this fin dead, on it's last legs, salvageable or now regulated to light wind cruising?

Dead as is.
Can be cut down and reboxed if fin is worth it.

"DED" dead. Only way to reuse is to cut and repot for a smaller fin.

OK, thought as much. Cutting & re-boxing fins not my forte. It is a Curtis CR-15 Gsport carbon 66 cm fin so I guess it can be saved by someone else. I'll post it on the Buy/Sell adds for free.

Don't do it, Coach. Save someone the horror of trying to get one more afternoon sail on that thing. Trophy case material. I'm sure you can get your hands on one of those!
