Hello,

My 05 Exocet Cross has become a bit slippery on both the padded and non
Padded area of the deck when sailing barefoot Any suggestions for making the deck grippier?

Thanks

For the deck I've had decent luck with the "re-dek traction system".

Not sure what you can do with the deck pad.

I'd start by spraying on the traction paint mentioned so often here (Monster?); little risk there. If that failed, I'd lay on the usual NSI pad material I use so often; it works fine on top of bare deck or other pads. Or maybe the original pads will come off fairly easily with a razor blade knife plus lifting tension at the receding glue line. I've also had some success adding grooves in slippery pads with a Dremel tool and a straightedge ... a quick process after a couple of minutes' practice.

ANYTHING which prevents doing the splits at high speed is worth the effort or expense.

over re-dek

Switching out the pads is a good option too

Re-dek works, but its paint on with a roller or brush

I have been using GOOP Anti skid epoxy with grit, maybe 15-20 for a spray can, available from WesT Marine........ last years board is ok yet.

many have said the MONSTER product above is great...try that one next time
