Crazy August, on a 4.2 all afternoon at A.L. today, with a solid 8" swell. |

Good catch! I thought maybe a typo, which I make millions of.
Had to check, because I know we're in between S and NW swells. |

Anybody looking at surfline
Santa Cruz in town has been basically flat for weeks
on end.
Isn't that 8 inch swell. |

I was there and saw it. Must say he caught the bigger sets as mine were only 6". Size matters! It was a little bigger today with a few sets at 10". Lucky I didn't break any gear |

And SOMEBODY still comes across as a bad parody of a cranky Internet forum troll.
I love the smell of jet turbine exhaust at happy hour. Smells like... Coyote.

Too funny, but to be honest, I was really scared out there. |

This must be my most frequent Crissy season ever ... close to 95%. Between TI "closed down", and the crazy traffic to Coyote I pretty much stack with the venue.
Yesterday Aug 25 was nice 5.0, got out at around 2:45 and slogged a long way to the wind line, but then the wind picked up and it was nice right at or slightly west of the north tower. 6.0 would have worked too, not too windy. VERY flat toward the end of day!
Lot of windsurfers out with a few hydrofoil showing up late afternoon to demonstrate how you need a 12-15 meters kite + an hydrofoil + a kite board to do exactly what a way simpler windsurf with a 5.0 can do! |
