Pulled a hamstring trying to water start in the light wind on Friday the 30th, winds now switching offshore. That's it for me.

May I ask where you were sailing? Just curious because Friday was challenging in my area too. After that, the next 5 days were very good with 4.7 Sat, 4.2-3.7 Sun, 5.2 Mon, 4.7 Tue and today. Sorry to hear about your injury, but at least it happened towards the end of the season and not in early spring. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Oct 5 A perfect day at the Stick. I get out with the Isonic 111 and GPS 6.6 at around 2:40, the wind is enough to plane 100% and it is nicely open toward the south side ... and it stays that way, goes away a bit, comes back, and finally kicks in with gusto at around 4 or so. The GPS 6.6 is a fantastic size at my weight, it has a huge amount of low end but when the wind picks up it does not even blink. In this non-overpowered conditions it is a treat: it is like having a tractor beam that keeps the board going and going and going: thank you cams!

I sailing at Leo Carrillo on a 5.8 but really could have used a 7.0 as the wind was backing off. I got up and got going but sailed for about 40 mins in pain. The water temp was a little cooler so that helped. Thank you for your well wishes!

OCT 6 is a bit more up and own but the wind is stronger, plenty enough to go around although only few people show up. Kevin goes out with a 4.4 and it is doing the incomprehensible things only he can do!!!!!!!! I cruise around inefficiently (by comparison) with my 6.6 and Isonic. I stop early, I have to play in concert tomorrow and the hands need a 24 hours rest!

Must be fun to buzz and spray Kevin on every run, like he likes to do with other sailor's. Do you leave him room for his downwind tricks, or do you just blow by windward and spray him?

I think I am too much in owe of what he can do on a board to even remotely think about "spraying" him!!!!! Shocked

Lone wolf sailing at Coyote Pt. from 1 to 3. Place was deserted. The wind read was 11 mph and I went 7.3 North sail/JP Superlightwind. Planing conditions 50 yards from shore and power sailing out towards the channel where the wind was a steady 15. Used the swells to help turn the big board. 3 kiters on foils going out as I was coming in at 3.
