Hi Windfind,
What is this thing that came up the coast about 5 p.m. yesterday? KSBW-8 nicknamed it a Fognado.

Two days of muggy overcast earthquake weather in the East Bay. As far as wind, a whole lot of nothing.

Nice Berkeley day Sat., 6.0, then 5.2, either just fine, 95 liter slalom and 80 liter bump n jump, visiting past the Lordships to almost the gap, back down to the frontage road, mostly planing solidly. 160 lbs., anything would have worked.

Have started to use my tallest mast (36 inch). Did Palo Alto on Saturday on a 5.0 when it was blowing about 14. After a hard month and half of foiling my body is beginning to instinctively react and adjust so that I can maintain flight and not fall as often. You will pay your dues should you take up foiling. While I still plan to mix it up with conventional windsurfing next year, foiling will more than likely be my first choice unless it's blowing more than 20.

8/5 Saturday 3rd avenue san mateo windsurfing. 22+ knots wind, about 30 kiters and a dozen of windsurfers out.
Was on 5.4 sail and 93L board. Sailed from 3rd avenue to Coyotes park and back. Perfect day, perfect wind.

Sunday Isabel, waiting and bullshitting, finally out for a session of bob and blast...then just bob. Of course, once the wetsuit was off it filled in. Thanks Obama.

Sunday Berkeley, 5.2, 86 3S, about perfectly powered, I'd say maybe 15-26 mph, based on what I felt, launching off 3rd dock, in the straps as I cleared the poles. Stayed that way until almost 6PM, so everyone got 2 hours worth if they wanted. Slightly WSW, so hero jibes inside.

Not bad from His Lords either - 3:10 -4PM. Bit gusty, but otherwise just fine - 5.5/106L.
