Another Stick day with Crissy off limits and Coyote seemingly weak. Less wind than yesterday I am on 6.5 and CA 52 having a good time although occasionally underpowered (AND THE CA52 DOES NOT LIKE THAT!
NO SIR! IT SINKS ).
Lot's of people out on freestyle, wave, slalom (3 of us!) and foil. Very nice mix in a warm day, Chit chat on the beach, old faces and new faces, some Spanish with a nice family enjoying the day. Life can be pleasant

Another great session on the Angulo 10' 2" Sail-SUP and Ezzy 7.0. Launched at New Brighton in about 6 knots of wind and tacked up towards the point. Lots of dolphins about. Once one porpoised right by my right side and dove in by the nose and then another on the left. Same thing. It was like they do at the bow of a boat. I was not going that fast so they went on ahead chasing fish. Saw many more throughout the session.
Not much surf in most places and only about 2 to 3 feet at Privates. Wind not good there anyway so went on to Pleasure Point. Totally different there. Even though Surfline had indicated 3 to 4 feet for there, sets would come in that had walls of water that were continuous from outside of Sewers to past 2nd Peak. These were often well overhead waves. Plus I had wind in the mid teens at times.
I played around 3rd Peak and then sailed along the kelp bed to outside of Sewers. No sets came in while I was there. Sailed back to outside of 2nd Peak and did catch a smaller wave of a set that showed up then. Played some more at 3rd Peak and then, concerned that the wind was lightening, headed home.

Berkeley M,T,W not bad, 5.5, 5.3, and 5.3 on 98,100, and 86 liter boards. Wanted to foil, but gusts over 21. And low tides.

Seems the 6 foilers hit a couple of fish each day out of Berkeley Marina but don't bring them home. Fish OK, but not so for seals or harbor seals. That's a problem with foils.
That leopard shark looks like the deco shark at old FlyingTigers.

I hit one of those small harbor porpoises at full speed off TI last year. Thankfully a glancing blow, although really hard. He surfaced right in front of me and I did not fall in. I expected to look back to blood in the water and sliced flesh, but nothing.

Berkeley was fun on Wednesday. Rigged small, but it was actually pretty powered for the first five reaches, then the wind backed off a bit. Still got in a pretty good 90 minute sesh. Low tides made for flat, fast water. Getting to the wind line on my 85 was a little difficult as my fins got stuck in the mud a few times in the lulls.

Solo Dawn Patrol again today, but it was really good conditions. The afternoon was milder, but fun (see image of Chris Sabineu foiling).
