Thanks.
Don't worry, at 71, I'm never going down to S SC.
Nor Palo Marin.

I will be 71 in less than a month.
You should make a pilgrimage to Palo Marin at least once more.
Santa Cruz as well.
Of course it would help for it to be after the State Parks parking re-opens. The hikes in and out do make it a bit more daunting.

I can barely sail flatwater Berkeley for 2 hours nowadaze.
Hardly can carry the rig to the car afterwards...140 steps.
And my board weighs 12 lbs.

Went to New Brighton and launched onto a beautiful Monterey Bay haloed by popcorn clouds with sunshine, wind and waves everywhere inside that circle. Felt so good to be out. Played on swell and waves by Bombora and The Playground. Most just a few feet high with the occasional shoulder high wave. Another windsurfer launched at Capitola and tacked up to windsurf Privates. I followed and played up there as well. Then back to Capitola and then on home.

1-1/2 hour of perfectly smooth Chrissy, and then rolling waves at the North Tower.
4-5:30PM, 20-25Kn gusting to 30.
Straight shot to the tower inside when it started ebbing.
5.2/90L. getting a bit big towards the end.
Access to East Beach still closed to cars.
About 300yds. walk through the field to avoid people on the path.
No issue whatsoever... no proximity with anybody (by choice, there were plenty of beach-goers)
Wondering why I didn't do that in 2 months, aside of civic duty.

Windsurfed Natural Bridges yesterday and today. Two folk out yesterday and three today. Hoofed it in from Swanton Blvd yesterday and from Delaware today. Two of the three folk today had carts. I carried on my head. Hope my neck vertebrae are able to handle it.
Wind yesterday was near twenty knots and very steady. A dream. Wind was less today and mostly near mid-teens. Water was beautiful both days with blues and greens and whitecaps.
I am glad the beach is open for windsurfing, even if the parking lot is not.
