All afternoon, the conditions just kept improving. I windsurfed a 65L custom and then a 75L with a 4.2 sail. Jason Voss, well-known local windsurfing pro, is shown toward the end of the afternoon. Winds hit 35.

4.7 session at the Stick this Tuesday at 1 pm. I kinda like being able to double park next to the RV's. The fella parked with his RV by my van is really nice. I think he removed the wood fence in front of the carpeted rigging area making it easy to bring our gear to the carpet. Yes.., the Stick has changed, but the wind is still the same and that's good enough for me Smile

Yeah, pretty good and steady wnw wind from 4:30 to 6:30pm today at the stick; I was on my 4.3/85 combo. On top of that, I finally nailed it, no more screwing around and no more flopping around. Enjoy!

Two windsurfers out at Natural Bridges today. Naish boards and 6.3 & 6.1 sails. Wind was good and sails could have been smaller, but they worked. Parking lot is still closed, so one pretty much sails what they hiked to the dance with.

Five folk windsurfing off of Natural Bridges today. I was on a 4.7 and nicely powered.

Nice of Mike Godsey in the Pro-Forcast giving predictions for Natural Bridges. His predictions for Waddell and Natural Bridges have been accurate.

Three windsurfers out today. I was on a 4.7.

Appears per the wind sensor chart that Waddell was as strong and lasted til a bit later than Natural Bridges today.

Well not much wind anywhere in the Santa Cruz vicinity, but wanted to go out, so took my Angulo SailSUP with an Ezzy Cheetah 7.0 and launched at New Brighton where there was a bit of sun. Not much wind, but I thought I might do some shark watching out in Aptos Shark Park. So going slow was a desirable thing. Two power boats had just cruised the area and it looked like they were looking. I headed out watching the water all around as I cruised.
Well Mother Nature had other ideas as the fog closed in and so even with my polaroid sunglasses I could not see into the water. Then the fog thickened up so that there was a light misty drizzle that settled tiny droplets on my sunglasses furthering the inability to see. So I just cruised around going up past Capitola Wharf and then as the wind was dying headed back to New Brighton.
Still glad I went out.
