Just another hard day at the office.....

Nice southerly flow with puffs of fog passing overhead making the water glisten.

Yep ...

Wed Stick: speed runs overpowered with 6.6 and CA 58

Thu Coyote: 5.0 and 85L, starts weak but then gets easily to 4.3 conditions in the Channel. FUN!!!!! Very Happy

Fri TI: get out early with fog overhead. 5.0 proves to be too much but I don;t want to go back and grab the 4.3. Soldier on! Could not really be comfortable in the Channel so I sailed closer to shore. Great day: steady wind, nice rolls everywhere. It finally mellowed up a bit around 5:00-5:30 and I could cross happily passed the "ding-ding" buoy. At least a dozen people out.

Sat TI: A bit less windy than FRI makes the 5.0 kind of perfect. Very nice day but almost completely overcast. Only toward the "ding-ding" buoy there is a little sunshine. Choppy clost to shore, probably thanks to the Saturday traffic, but very nice and smooth close to the buoy. Very few people out, when I finally land at 6 I am the last out by a good half hour.

Pretty fun apres-work session last night at Leo. Wasn't expecting much wind so was out on big stuff 125L/6.4. No need to hit the weights for a while now. Apres-session in the hot tub with a glass of wine or 2, but no welding Wink

I know it's getting old, but Isabel did her thing again. As we sat on Kevin's tailgate, beer and peanuts being consumed, we bemoaned the fact that we still had to UNRIG! The effort is just too much...I can't take much more of this.

Sailed out at 2 pm with a 5.0/95 L setup to the first buoy, gybed it and immediately switched to 4.2/80 L Realwind, probably surprising some of the windsurfers rigging up. Plenty of wind out at the channel and that board slices through flood chop like a hot knife on butter...wonderful.

Ramp access blocked by a group of fishermen (WTF!) at Oyster Point on Sunday so I sailed at Embassy Suites instead. 5.0/110L worked fine for an hour until my harness line started to stretch abnormally. A couple of windsurfers arrived as I was about to leave. Wind was lighter today at about 16-18 mph at the airport.

Sherman Island has been having some good Dawn Patrol wind the last couple of days. The berries are ripening. It must be August. I think it's Arron in the background.

Berkeley Sat., pretty fun 5.8 on the SSport109 outside Lordships.
BerkeleySun., good for on hour 6.0 and same board.
Almost nobody around, certainly less than 7 windsurfers.
No parking and millions of cars look for parking spaces both days.
