Nice 15-21mph session at Berkeley on Sat., just after the Cal Cup ended, and most free sailors gave up from S winds and clouds.
When Solheil came in, the sky cleared, and SW winds picked up, from Ashby beach to the docks planing. 6.0 and 109SS was adaquate, but not fully powered.

Mild winds at Third this weekend and probably for the rest of the week. Rigged 6.2 yesterday (16 mph SW) and 7.3 today with my 110 L (Sunday) when wind speed was 'bout 14 mph. I was planing once I reached the channel and the water was fairly flat out there. Rarely sail this big so I needed to make some on the water tweaking to make things work better. No other windsurfer or kiter on the water while I was there (2 to 3 pm).

Lotsa sailors out on Sun, a little better at 20 with gusts to 24, most on 5.7's or around there (7.6 for 210 lbs'ers), but a little choppy too.

Loving this SW wind at Sherman. Monday it's just Deva and me midday on this section of the river, sailing out of Rio Viento, 5.7 and 5.5 respectively. Small, smoooooth swell. Wednesday after lunch I'm all alone, my 145 lb nicely powered on a 4.7. Hope some happy campers are hitting this in the evening.

Oh man that hurts Dennis! I tore my calf muscle last Sunday and won't be able to sail until July. Tell Deva Ron says HEY!

Ouch Ron, your timing sucks! You need to get yourself injured during the winter like I did so it doesn't count.

Ya Skip, I know! I can't even SUP for at least a month the way it stands now. Crutches and limping for a couple of weeks and then plenty of rehab. Thank god I can still play guitar! Sad
