Ok just read this tidbit, thus hmm Kochs are writing the curriculum anyway...

Inside The Koch-Backed History Lessons North Carolina Wants To Teach High School Students

Quote:
Public high school students in North Carolina will be taught from a lesson plans and worksheets prepared by a organization closely tied to the billionaire Koch brothers, if the state’s Department of Public Instruction gets its way. According to the Raleigh News and Observer, the Virginia-based Bill of Rights Institute received a “$100,000, sole-source contract with [North Carolina] to help develop materials for teachers to use in a course on founding principles that the state requires students to take.”
The N&O also notes that the organization receives funding directly from David Koch and from two Koch family foundations, although, if anything, this description understates the Institute’s ties to the conservative billionaires. Two of the Institutes four board members are employed by Koch entities — one is a senior vice president at Koch Industries and another is director of higher education programs at the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation — and many of the Institute’s other top leaders also appear likely to push a political agenda in line with the Koch brothers’ anti-government views. Board member Todd Zywicki, is a George Mason law professor and a leading opponent of Wall Street reforms such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The Institute’s president, David J. Bobb, founded two centers at Hillsdale College, a conservative institution of higher education that proclaims its opposition to “the dehumanizing, discriminatory trend of so called ‘social justice’ and ‘multicultural diversity.’”
A Teacher’s Best Friend
The Department of Public Instruction “highly recommend[s]” that North Carolina school districts use the Institute’s instruction materials to teach the state’s students about America’s founding principles and the Constitution itself — and, on the surface, the materials look quite impressive. They consist of 391 pages of lesson plans, worksheets, student activities and answer keys for teachers, organized into “ten instructional modules” and a “final project” designed to cover and entire semester of coursework. The lesson plans tie each module to particular objectives laid out in the state’s curriculum. And many of the lessons taught by the materials are unobjectionable, or even quite important. A unit on the rights of the accused, for example, emphasizes the principle that “it was better for guilty people to go free than for the judicial system to condemn even one innocent person.”

NW30, the Daily Caller? That's on a par with the National Enquirer, or maybe worse. You must have a strong hunger for trashy news.

It's funny that you never get on bajaDean for giving us daily updates from the dailyKos, or is he just the crazy uncle in the room, that we are not supposed to read?

You may call it trashy, but try to prove the article wrong, instead of using that overused cheap shot that says nothing.

the example you gave is ancient history, my posts are about relevant current things. Your tie in was somehow old presidents that had nothing to do with the subject of education. Again that is what your brain was equating to apples and oranges. Again a false equivalency.

Now yours has some applications to tie in with my last post. in fact your clinton stuff it had virtually all been funded by another right wing hater trust fund kid, a mellon. Richard Mellon Scaife a trust fund kid began by funding all things he could. huge funder of the spectator. He even paid David Brock about 1 million dollars to do the sleaze on Clinton. How do we know well when the right wing paid Brock to do a sleaze attack on Anita Hill for telling the truth about a now Supreme court idiot well they went after her for tlling the truth about the guy sexually harassing females at government Jobs. Yet a right wing hero. Well anyway Brock got a conscience and turned on the right wing haters. Who better to tell what right wing haters do and were doing than the paid hit man that turned on them.

And right wingers hate David Brock because he got a conscience and spilled the beans. Read his book Binded by the Right.

again right wing hate of clinton was once he was elected they began payingfor all of Paula Jones legal teams and even her nose job so she would liik better for the job. all right wing paid form the beginning of clinton entering office by another right wing kid who got his money the trust fund way.

Now Reygun, he is a national monument hero to the right wing. He was such a whore and was so proud of his getting the ladies, that his own flesh and blood kids would not vote for him and one even went public to show how sick of a human that family values man was not. again that slut of a man is a national hero to the right wing idiots. They want that slut to be carved in stone. What he was doing in adultry was on par with arnold. but the main thing i hold him for is his own kids would not vote for the whore of a man.

Now arnold did not even disclose his whoring when he was running and what 7-10 females came out about his harassment. Well it was certainly proved that right winger was a whore and liar when somehow his story of doing his mad came out because he had been supporting her son for years.

How about gingrish or Dole, Dole's daughter had seen her father about a handful of times in her ten years because he was too busy doing the next Dule, elizibeth the youger model. Gringrich another family right winger at the top, number 4? or more?

Wrong, I read the NYT also, it's mostly biased crap.

Wow, no evidence of this:

"I read the NYT also, it's mostly biased crap."

Must be the requirement to have articles fact checked and edited.

Evidence? Like you fact check, pfffft.

But I will say this, every once in awhile the NYT will swerve into the truth, and I will post it if it pertains to a current discussion here. That happens only about twice a year at most.

They are going to have to pay attention to their liberal slant on things, if they are to avoid more things like this happening.

Appealing to only libs will relegate them to online service only, much like the Daily Kos, or Think Progress, if they are to survive as a print media.

• Obama recently droned a terrorist who was identified just two weeks ago from interrogation conducted years ago.

• Tens of thousands of U.S. soldiers have been waterboarded as part of their training.

• More journalists than terrorists have been waterboarded.

• Holder said none of our interrogations violated any laws.

Get real.

Bush was the greatest recruiter for terrorists in the history of the USA. When you go from having respect around the world to only one or two handfuls of countries with a favoriability rating that is avove 50%. In a delusional right wingers mind the more you are hated/disrespected the safer and less terrorists there are. Right wingers are idiots and why the right wing owned media does not point this simple human nature fact out is proof we have a right wing media.

I have never been a fan of Holder, I would have turned Bush Chener over to the world courts as I entered. Iff they did nothing wrong then go to the world court over such serious issues.

again McCain hardly a liberal said what was done was torture.

When you are in the hands of your own people and they submit you to various tactics, that are deemed torture, is not the same when done when captured. any moron who thinks otherwise needs to have a new brain. and being waterborded some hundred times in a several day period has never been done as normal training. If you say it is not torture, then we can arrange a free trip to a nation who does it and have it done to you and come back to us and tell us it is not torture. I am sure I can post on a major thread that you would like to take a water-boarding vacation as a right winger and get some donations to make your dreams come true.

gee we do not know if this terrorist is another one that whos name was given up to the FBI before he was tortured do we. Like we believe any torturer to tell the truth.
