Sell the JP X-Cite Ride 134?

I have a JP Australia 2013 X-Cite Ride 134, pro construction. 251 x 72.

I also have a 2014 RRD Firemove V2 122. 238 x 79.

I like the Firemove for the range. It almost works in fully wound 5.5. The X-Cite Ride? Not so much.

Is there any reason to keep the X-Cite Ride?

Get rid of it and get yourself a 90ish FSW /if you don't have already one/ for that 5.5 Time to get your windsurfing to the next level .
BTW Fanatic discontinued their freeride Shark for 2015 and added few bigger sizes to their Gecko. The Freeride is dead, long live the Freemove! Just kidding

I own a 2011 xcite Ride 134 FWS and I also sail a Naish Grand Prix 135 (82 cm wide) in SF Bay primarily at Larkspur and Berkeley. When the water is flat , it doesn't matter, but when the chop picks up due to....
1) flood tide
2) wind picks up to the 20/ low 20s as the fog rolls in.
3) Ferry goes by

The Xcite ride is far easier to handle gives me more margin to operate if the wind picks up dramatically. I am usually sailing with Ezzy 6.5-7.5 -8.5 Cheetahs. That said, the slalom gear is really a treat to ride when the conditions are right so I keep both around (its also a pain to sell gear). If you have no problem with your local conditions, your board selection should answer your question for you especially if you have not used the xcite ride in over a year.

I think Fanatic has answered your question when they discontinued the Shark, replacing it with the Gecko. In almost any condition, the newer wide-flat shapes like the Firemoves and Geckos are easier and more fun than older shapes like the Sharks and X-cite Rides. Surprisingly, this is true even in chop.
