Congratulations Scott and the USWA crew, the Cabrllo Beach Yacht Club, all the sponsors , volunteers and racers for what looks like a great event! Special kudos to whatever wind diety or horned creature from the underworld who was bribed to give you five straight days of raceable wind! Hopefully, next year's Enduro [please| will incorporate the downwind slalom format which proves to be a very exciting format on Maui Series races and in the Nationals. Again, congrats to all!! PS THANKS DANIEL for the great pix, Bull |

Thanks for the kudos, Bull, I'll pass them along to those who deserve it. (they don't haunt the Forums like I do)
I only had to promise the Wind Demons my first-born, but the jokes on them, we're not having any!
I'd like to ask everyone who went to the Nationals to send me a short description of your experience there, good or bad. I'll edit them all together and have Debi post it, with photos, on the Nationals website. Send it to me via my website, to prevent spamming I don't want to post my e-mail address here. www.WindJunkie.net is advertising and spam FREE! _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie

Which part of the site would I submit my experience?

I wasnt able to attend this years US Windsurfing Nationals in Cabrillo Beach last week but am taking the opportunity to post- Soheil's report from the regatta on my blog
I think you'll find it a good read about the trials and tribulations of sailing a regatta- the highs and lows and most importantly- the lesson of never ever giving up.
Soheil sailed one of the best regattas of his career and finished a career high 4th overall in the Formula class. Big props to him for keeping it going and sending out an report each evening.

KevinDo: Send it to me via my website (if you don't already have my address). There's contact links all over, one right on the home page-just click on the small photo of me, then the word "line" at the end of the text. Reluctant to post my e-mail here, unprotected. I'll forward it to my wife, Debi, who built the website. Thanks in advance!
Tons of great photos on Daniel Gallet's website:

A big thank you to everyone involved in organizing and running the Nationals. The event delivered everything promised. I had a great time, though I was exhausted by the end of the week more due to working from 6 am to 1 pm every day before heading to the beach for the slalom racing, then rushing home as soon as races were over each day so my nanny could go home. But I'd do it all again in a heart beat.
I had to miss the prize giving because of need to get home in time for the nanny to go home. What were the final age category results? |
