Lacking instruction.
Your sail likely came from the factory needing a modest tightening AFTER you sail a dozen or more sessions. It settles into seam stretch.
If you haven't done this go ahead.by working your way along adding very little at a time.to each one. |

The Ezzy web site is loaded with instructions for prior year models. Also, check that little pocket in your sail bag for instructions. You sail designer knows best. Don't trust that what is right for another sail is right for yours.
Man, this takes all of the fun out of it. Doesn't it. |

For best fitting hood should have three common diameters of battens and fittings or sleeves for the batten joints. The diameters of the sleeves are the limiting factor when furling the sail. _________________ Caravan Power Pedestals | Visit us to get the info about |

I sail Ezzy and of course they do a great job with instructional videos and instructions on rigging. That said, I find it difficult to see the wrinkles along the battens and I earn my living as a photographer— looking at things and noticing small changes. I've tried different types of lighting, sunny, overcast, viewing angles etc. and quite frankly find the whole thing a bit murky. If way overtightened, yes, I see the "s" shape in the batten and if loosened too far that's obvious too. In some ways I think this is an overlooked aspect of tuning. I think more could be done to clarify this, more than just saying tighten until the "wrinkles" disappear. Just saying... |
