Nothin' wrong with older Northwave sails.... plenty of my most favorite 90's tri-lites out there today. Awesome silky smooth sails with incredible power and control if ya know how to use them responsibly. Just like anything else on this planet.
In my personal observation, and many examples today, it's usually the dudes with the helmets who tend to break the rules most often. Perhaps they are entitled to act irresponsible because they are so righteously "safer" than those of us who do not?? heh-heh |

I won't generalize about Northwaves or helmets. I only mention older Northwaves because that's what this guy was sailing, who sailed through where he shouldn't have. His position and body language yelled. "Lookout for me, I'm coming through." Just a bonehead move. I think I saw the same guy do it on one of the windy days in July too. |

There were at least a half-dozen old Northwaves out there, mine included. But it wasn't me. I only get close when necessary. Such as for extending a fat swell ride.
WMP, please, for the love of Zephyrus, get a 400cm mast! It isn't a jousting competition out there!
Another great afternoon of fat connect-a-swell!!! |

Indeed, I've replenished my stockpile of tri lites (made in the Gorge) that should last me another 20 years. Plenty of power on that 3.7 with the cam installed, it gets that floaty airtime too for the frequent flier miles. And for the love of Dynafiber (made in the port of Skamania building), I was indeed using a 400 cm mast. |

Fat Fat Swell, sunny and warm, no crowd. Stoked indeed!
