Just a few facts. First, the Department of Justice found that Wilson had not violated Brown's civil rights. Of course the righties here howled about any involvement, blind to the problems of credibility with the local police. Second, the Department of Justice, and any responsble journalist, found that the Ferguson police force operated in a cavalier and racially discriminatory manner. There were e-mails widely circulated that joked that a black woman who practiced birth control was practicing good crime control. Between 2011 and 2013, 94% of those arrested by the Ferguson police for the vague "failure to comply" charge, were black. Blacks were searched for contraband far more frequently than whites--even though contraband was found more frequently in searches of white folks. As the New Yorker points out, abouit a third of the students at Normandy school have a father in jail, and many of them believe, rightly or wrongly, that their father is innocent.
Third, the City of Ferguson, and other small cities in fly-over America, have systematically extracted fines from the poor, disproportionately from African Americans, for minor violations. Often those put poor, homeless or unemployed people in a position where they could not pay the fines and sometimes lost their cars and jobs. We're talking about parking violations. In Ferguson, police officers were punished if they didn't issue enough citations.
Of course neither NW nor Golden Dawn have experienced this level of harassment, or will acknowledge that it exists and undermines the level of trust that must exist in the community for effective policing. Yet we are to accept their versions of reality. Not. |

It worked. The protests, voter education and the shedding of the blood of an innocent have changed the power structure in Ferguson, Missouri. The first municipal elections since the killing of unarmed teen Michael Brown occurred April 7, and despite severe weather, voter turnout doubled. In previous elections only 12.3 percent of registered voters turned out, this election saw that number swell to 29.4 percent.
For Ferguson, a town of 21,000 residents, 16,000 of whom are Black, it means a change in the all-important city council. Now with the election of Black residents Wesley Bell and Ella Jones the council has three White and three Black members. This new council will have the task of hiring replacements for critical positions in city government that were left open after a blistering Department of Justice report. In the wake of the report, many top-level administrators such as the Ferguson police chief resigned from office. In addition, the oppressive and possibly unconstitutional operation of the Ferguson Municipal Court system will undergo changes as well.

and what percentage of the city is black vs white, and of the police department what percent is black vs white.

the idiot right wingers on this forum basically say racism is not existent in the modern USA... They are so stupid and racist it is hard to believe they can even add. Racism is huge in the deep south and a few other locations to this date...

Sure, maybe I should have worded the basically say, these moron right wingers are racists.... I was just being politically correct.
how many posts do you have in this thread, can you show me what percent are what a liberal or member of the ADL would consider it not supporting that racism is here and where a real liberal or the ADL would consider you not a enabler and or denier or supporter of racism. Give us the links.
You would agree if you have one post disputing racism or claiming that whites are the real victims of racism you are a supporter of racism, and if you have dozen you would be at least a closet racist. And if you hit the 50% mark maybe you are a real hardcore racist and should be heading to the tattoo parlor, and if you hit 80% that maybe you would do well in prison with the Neo Nazis. And again disputing a factual post that claims there is racism in any way would be a good indicator too, ie to the affirmative you support racism. remember I posted basically say...

Maybe baja should read the articles he posts before making racist claims.
