Just one little difference. The black man is (was) an entertainer and millions of fans didn't like what he did. He has the right to do what he and his boss will allow him to do, but then he must accept the consequences.
Anyone in the entertainment industry that takes a political stand (on either side) risks alienating half their audience. Stupid move in my opinion.

So you would ackowledge also the appropriateness of boycotting Fox advertisers and Ingraham in particular for the hateful and divisive things said on air? |

Of course, should one choose to do so, but that cuts two ways. Conservatives can also boycott advertisers on CNN, MSNBC, etc. I don't care who carries product adds, if it's a product I like and it's advertised on Fox and CNN, I will buy it. Boycotting seems like a childish rant.
However, advertisers can pick and choose where they think their dollars will benefit them most. But they also risk shrinking their market potential at the same time if they leave a particular show because of political reasons. |

I was walking in the mall and saw a Muslim bookstore. The sign outside led me to wonder what was in a Muslim bookstore, so I went in.
As I was wandering around taking a look, the clerk gave me the stink eye, but asked if he could help me. I know I didn't look like his normal clientele, so I asked, "Do you have Donald Trump's book on his U.S. immigration policy regarding Muslims and illegal aliens?"
The clerk said, "Kiss my ass, get out and stay out!"
I said, "Yes, that's the one. Do you have it in paperback?" |

What's your point?
That was a song reference to her dressing in blackface to fool her friends, which she did.
Who's fooling who now? |
