So NW—are you even slightly embarrassed about posting claims that antifa has something to do with riots—when the FBI admits that there is no evidence of that? Are you even a little embarrassed that the only evidence of organized political violence (as opposed to criminal looting) was by right wing white nationalists? Probably not. Shame died when the GOP was high jacked by the folks in tin hats.
Peaceful protests are growing in size and number, and General Mattis and George Will have both thrown Trump under the bus. |

Pretty clear that Matty didn’t bother to read his link, or any real news. Protestors were peaceful, almost completely. There were criminal gangs in many places that took advantage of the protests to loot stores. They were organized, they came in vans with lookouts, they used social media and texts to know where to go. They are criminals, and should be arrested. If they left enough of a digital trail, they will be. Many protestors tried to stop them, nearly all condemned them, but I don’t expect a protestor to confront and stop a looter with a hammer.
Both Democrat and Republican mayors made the argument that violence and looting was done by “outside agitators”, but the record of arrests doesn’t support that argument. Nor is there anything in the constitution thats says you can only petition the government and use your First Amendment rights in the city where you live.
Citing anything that Barr says about the demonstrators being antifa just shows how brainwashed you are. A big fat liar—in every sense of the words. He knows “witches brews.”
Most of the arrests were for violating curfew. When the dust settles and nearly all of those cases are dismissed, there will be a handful of sustained charges for violence and looting. At that time we might actually know whether there is any evidence of organized efforts by extremists—and how much of it was right wing.
I am proud that so many Americans, and in increasing numbers, are protesting peacefully, and saying that things must change. I can understand how that horrifies white nationalists who have united behind Trump. After all, Trump’s career has been checkered by racism, from pleading no contest to racial discrimination in housing, to arguing for maximum penalties for the Central Park Five, birtherism, and racist remarks about Mexicans. Enough is enough, he has disgraced his office and this country. |

First he said:
“There was no correlation between our tactical plan of moving the perimeter out by one block and the president’s going over to the church,” Mr. Barr said.
Then later:
“I’m not involved in giving tactical commands like that," he said. “I was frustrated and I was also worried that as the crowd grew, it was going to be harder and harder to do. So my attitude was get it done, but I didn’t say, ‘Go do it.’”
“They told me they were about to make the announcement and I think they stretched the announcements over 20 minutes. During the time I was there, I would periodically hear announcements,” Barr said.
It was 10 minutes and the Divider in Chief was finishing his disdainful if not unmemorable speech.
Earlier in the week, White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany told reporters it was Barr who made the decision to push back the security perimeter outside the White House on Monday morning. McEnany said that when Barr arrived at Lafayette Park later that day to survey the security situation, he was surprised to see that action had not yet been taken.
“So he said that we needed to get going with moving that perimeter. He told the officers that out there,” McEnany said Wednesday. A person familiar with the matter also said earlier this week that Barr told law enforcement to take action to move the perimeter when he arrived in the park.
“The president is the head of the executive branch and the chief executive of the nation and should be able to walk across the street to the church of presidents,” Barr said. “I don’t necessarily view that as a political act.”
They can't even agree on what lie to tell.
