It seems like everyone is talking about the America's cup foilers lately.

Are we going to see hydrofoils on windsurfers now, too? Ive already seen them on kite boards lately.

AHD has a foiling board but its not cheap... gybing that thing learns like a balancing act!

Rich Wilson built a foiling windsurfer 17 years ago. Bard Chrisman was the only guy who could make it go, and even he could not jibe, or tack it. Very Happy

Miller.
Foil mounted on the nose, and one on the tail.
I rode it ONCE. Jibing was tenous, but I never dropped the sail. Tacking was normal.
It was no faster than a planing windsurfer.
Might have had some advantages upwind, but I was a downwind slalom sailor at the time.
