One of the Teas leaders has let us know that John McCain is a supporter of AlQueda.
Do those who vote in the Teas actually listen to their leaders speeches?

Let's be clear. McCain is pro war. He wants to support "the Rebels" in Egypt. The rebels are substantially AlQaeda. And they are just one of many factions committing horrendous war crimes in Egypt. McCain supports helping them. Hence the characterization. In my opinion, the once great hero is past his prime.

He has many in the GOP who want to support the rebels because they do not think it is mostly AlQueda.
I agree that McCain is getting shaky but does any sane person think he has gone over to the terrorists? That remark was made because he is so critical of the madness in Congress right now.
They can't defend the shutdown so they call him a terrorist sympathizer.
I remember the Bush people called the Senator from Hawaii the same thing when he disagreed about the war in Iraq.
He was a Medal of Honor winner in a wheel chair.
I wonder if the good Congressmen attacking these decorated vets ever did anything for their country except shut it down.

In general, the Congressmen are less mature than the Senators. They are also from politically focused districts. Our founding fathers never wanted a powerful federal government. This is part of the checks and balances.

I can see that Bard.
.Right now the Senate Dems and GOP are proposing legislation and arguing about it, not getting enough votes and trying something else.
That is exactly what we are paying them to do, even if I don't like the results every time.
The House has dumped these foolish ideas of. voting and representing the American people.

Missed this one:

Quote:
“Today’s GOP is not racist, as Harry Belafonte alleged about the tea party, but it is deeply troubled — about the expansion of government, about immigration, about secularism, about the mainstreaming of what used to be the avant-garde. People with conventional views must repress a gag reflex when considering the mayor-elect of New York — a white man married to a black woman and with two biracial children. (Should I mention that Bill de Blasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray, used to be a lesbian?)”

Wait, what?!

Richard Cohen

Apparently he only opens his mouth to change feet, here's more of his opinions:

The bigger question now is whether the Democratic party -- or leftist extremism in general -- will survive Obama and/or the ACA.

Take it one step further, just a month ago, all the media, left and right, conservative and liberal, both parties were telling us what an idiot Ted Cruz was, how stupid Sarah Palin is, how shortsighted Mike Lee was being for trying to stop BarackObamacare (a better name), now look who's running away. They're gonna need a wider exit door.
Too funny.

Astonishing. Back to talking points. Do not acknowledge inconvenient facts.

NW30,

You need to put on your thinking cap and get a clue about what's going on. The criticisms of folks like Cruz and others was based on their reason for shutting down the government and not passing a budget. The idea of killing the ACA at all costs is not a sensible plan.

I love you guys, you never fail, like waiting for low tide, it always happens.

"at all costs"?
Seems like it's costing a hell of a lot already.
