FYI Rufus is also closed due to the government shutdown. To enforce the closure, since there is no money to run the gravel parking area with no services, they built an expensive gate. Go figure.

Celio's bathrooms are closed today also....So we can choose between parks and recreation sites, or affordable health care. Great idea. People were peeing all over the place.

That is too funny. Good thing I went to Maryhill today. It was open and the six of us enjoyed a nice mid 4 meter session.....

Serious? That sign was at the wall??? It cost them more effort to make and put up the sign than to just leave it open for a couple of weeks.....

ARE WE GONNA LET A LITTLE PIECE OF PAPER STOP US FROM WINDSURFING AT THE BEST SITES ON THE COLUMBIA?

Consider this alternative, at least at Roosevelt: If we screw with the Corps(e) to the point they cast aside ownership of it (I don't know whether this applies to other sites out east), which they are free to do, it reverts to Indian property, by inviolable federal treaty law and de facto Yakama Nation druthers cast in stone. I.e., we forever lose ALL access to it. Tread lightly.

Now, about the Hatchery ... Doug's ... Rowena ... Stevenson ... coastal sites ... the Event Site ... etc ... aren't they all dependent on funds trickling down from He Who Absolutely Refuses To Negotiate And Is Butt-Forking Us To Promote Maximum Outrage At, Rather Than Protecting Us Via Minimum Impact From, Those Nasty Wepublican Ogres? (Hey, moderators; I didn't make this political; the politicians did.) Are those dominoes next?

Well, let's see. The Tea Party makes a demand that they know Obama will not negotiate on, and then in classic Republican double speak blames him for not caving in. It's all his fault, and his base, as shown above, buys totally into it and turns into a spittle spittin angry mob, right on queue. The right wing brown shirts come next. And they have the support of the NRA.

Never have so many people supported a movement totally contrary to their own economic interests.

That will spark it up.....

So if we go forward with Obamacare and the feds throw another tantrum;
will they close the hospitals and tell all the doctors and nurses to go home?

This is big government at it's worst.
Orwell was right.

This is worse than Orwell according to John McAfee. Paranoid and spooky interview about healthcare and data mining. (The guy who developed internet security software) He's either a genius or completely crazy.
