One of the outer Cape's good guys, who just happens to be one of the big boys of surfing and standup surfing has a quarterboard above his garage "the Endless Summer".

After Saturday, those who made the trip in spite of a dismal forecast and photographic evidence, were treated to very clean knee to near waist high sets. There was even enough power to overcome the stiff straight off shore wind.

In general, not much homework got done this weekend!

SLINKY Where did you sail? It was 30-40 at Barn. Sailed on the outside by the Watch Hill Lighthouse. Some of the wave sets were logo high. After that sailed just downwind of Sandy Point. Man was that flat and fast. Sailed until dusk.

A bunch of us sail at Madison surf club when it'southwest. Much better wind direction than at Hammo. windy but very gusty, 20- 40, with some holes, so it was hard to sail, made due with a 5.0 and JP FSW 84. No huge waves though. Never sailed Barn Island, drove there once, and it looked like a flatwater paradise, but not enough wind that day.

Was the wind any steadier out there? It filled in good for about an hour at 30-40. I've got this Friday afternoon off, forcast looking good so far, [weatherflow] warm, [64] yes! showing wind peaking at noon 29-54! yikes! Wave height 8 ft.

Get any pics Lars?

Sandy Point looks like a great flatwater spot. How high is the sandbar? How close to it can you sail? Where exactly do you launch?
