some of those sails recommended are probably not available in Europe

Since you DONT like the Atlas, how about the Combat, which in 4.7m down has 4 battens.

It certainly appears you know what you want, by your definition of medium power sail,

problem is most everyone will be different

Commenting on what I know (KAsails): the S1 is more like the KA Killer which I use now; you seem to be looking for the classic Kaos which has tremendous stability and power.

Both these lines are significantly more draft stable than average because of their 5 batten layout and general design. They are designed for and by real-world sailors of average weight, not for 145 pound kids who wave sail using a 4.7 in 12 knots of wind and could probably use a three batten sail.

Great opinion, and nice sails. Thank you!!

Can't believe no one has mentioned Sailworks! The Revolution is one of the smoothest sails I've ever used, with the power where it belongs (see ISOBARS last comment), and the top-end speed is limitless. Sailworks are also one of the most adjustable sails I've ever used, which expands their range a lot. They also make a 4-batten wave sail, the Gyro, which is reviewing well but I haven't tried it myself.

I've thought in the combat as well. Good construction and good brand to sell after... The problem is that NP curve mast is just in the opposite of Severne's, so I'd have to change the masts

The good side is that I have a friend who has a good quiver combat sail, so I can steal one of then to test

As a mast will last the life of several sails if you take care of it (and have a little luck) I'd recommend only looking at sails that work with your mast quiver. There are plenty of power wave sails (I like the Naish Force and Maui Sails Global myself) to choose from.

PD: I also have to think in what mast the sail needs.. Otherwise I have to change my masts too...

If you are using Severne masts and want to stay on them, try Maui Sails or Gaastra. Severne masts don't work in Ezzy sails.

I agree with capetonian's posts. Power sails are really a difference in feel not planing power or speed. If you are keeping your Severne mast, then the Severne Blade and Gaastra Poison are good choices for power sails. The Maui Sails Global is a very powerful sail too.

I sail S1s and I love how they feel. Range is slightly less, but they feel balanced and light in the hands. They feel engaged due to the tighter reactive leech, which makes them great for freestyle and maneuvers.

Since you did not like the Blade, maybe you really do not want a more powerful sail, but rather a sail with easy on/off with a bigger wind range, like the Gaastra Manic?

Interesting observations by the test editor, making reference to single fins as well, that more likely most of us ride them. The NP Combat tested in 5.0 does have 5 battens, the smaller sizes 4.7m down 2013 have 4

since this test by Windsport, Ezzy and Hot Sails Maui have 4 battens sails, along with Northwave , Sailworks Sails and a multitude of others , from my own experience they work just swell. Anyone who wants a 6batten wave will still have some options..... see how long.

Hot Sails now with a 3 batten sail.

just my POV
YMMV

I think one of the most noticeable differences between power wave sails and the others is that the power wave sails typically have substantially better upwind ability.

I have a quiver of NP Atlas/Alpha's for east coast USA sailing - bump/jump and occasionally ocean waves, and I have been pretty happy with them.
