Spent the previous weekend in a three day clinic at Calema.
It was the most worthwhile thing I have ever done for my windsurfing skills.
I learned a lot, but I have a long way to go.
I may go back for the clinic again and maybe yet again.
Tinho is the Obi Wan Kenobi of windsurfing.

I couldn't agree more as Tinho is simply oustanding!

I will add that his location setup is also great for a renting gear if traveling through or vacationing in the area. The rental fleet has lot's of options to chose from, already rigged up, and waiting for you in his storage garage right at the water's edge making it incredibly easy to swap between board or rig sizes thus maximizing your time on the water.

I've attended three of his clinics now and have really gotten a lot out of each one.

Tinho is The Man! I first met him at the 2001 Midwinters and realized then he is at the pinnacle of our sport. I've seen his great kids grow up and take on their own responsibilities and know one of his key former employees who is rockin' it as a high-end sailmaker in Newport, RI.

He and I tuned several times back in my FW days and it boosted my performance and understanding of rig dynamics and fin design. He truly has a gift.

Anyone traveling to Orlando couldn't do better than to at least check out Calema. And, attend the Calema Midwinters! It's one of the best places to learn to race and to improve windsurfing skills in likely the most well-represented fleets in North America.
