Gusty. How about a Sailworks Revo 6.2? |

Yes, would definitely consider a Superfreak. Curious if others think it would meet my needs? Other sails I would consider - Ezzy elite 6.1 or Tiger 6.3 as I have been nothing but pleased with my Lion sails. How about a North Volt? No reason not to consider the KA kult - I have ordered from Jurg before and been pleased.
As for an additional board - of course I want a new board but it will be 6 months till I can sail here again. I was thinking if I did get something it would be more like RRD Firemove or Exocel Xcross to get more maneuverability than with my xcite ride but still have early planing and to stay planing in lulls. Can you do freestyle maneuvers with these or are they too big? I will probably try the new sail first - eventually I will get a new board, but the sail will be used with the xcite ride initially.
I don't think it makes much sense to buy a new board without getting a smaller sail so the sequence is logical. I also want an 11+M race sail to go with the Ultrasonic and I'm not made of money. |

Then buy used or closeout or last year's stuff. Windance has plenty of all that; check their website. Northwave -- my first choice -- has 30% off any new sail in stock and more on used sails until Friday, and I'm guessing most new and used gear is discounted now. I can think of no valid reason you (or I) will get an extra thousand bucks' worth of performance out of a new board compared to last year's, or an extra few hundred bucks' worth out of a new full price sail. |

I have bought used before. Probably will not buy a used sail for this purchase. Thanks for the suggestion. I was merely stating that two new rigs and a new board is probably more than I plan to spend for the next season. Along with this new sail I will purchase a mast as my smallest is a 460SDM. I still need a snow kite, and new race tires, the list goes on . . . |

You shouldn't need a smaller mast. My 6.2 is perfect on a 460.
I just saved you $500! |

rangerider, what masts do you own? Since you have ezzy sails, maybe you have Ezzy masts. If so, you might want to stick with Ezzy sails. Superfreak will not work well on an Ezzy mast. I doubt you want to buy both a new sail and mast. |
