I'm 225lbs and 6 2, went through the exact same thought process. While I don't think you can go wrong with the RRD, I'm in LOVE with the 116 3S!

Handles an 8.0 just great (I fin up with a 38cm fin). Is very at home with my 6.2 and 7.0.

Feels like a 96 ltr board on a plane. I got the 2013 ltd edition and really really love the board.

I go in small-medium waves, flat and bump and jump.

6.2 to 8.0 is what I am looking for as well in a board this size. I'll have to check out the Tabou.

when one moves the base forward, and higher boom will help with any feeling s that the back strap is back too far.
