The motor is a 2ZZ out of production 200 hp. It stills has Warranty because Lotus hopped it up with a computer reflash instead of hard race parts.
The secret is in the weight.
We raced it in SCCA but didnt dominate because there is a note in the back of the rule book that says the street stock Elise may not race in any street stock
class. There is trailered in Lotus Seven that kicks our ass.
This season we race a blown Miata all out race car with the motor boosted from 110 to 300 HP on the dyno. It has a valid tag on it so we scare ourselves driving around Maui even though it lacks a top, wipers, headlights and doors welded shut
The Lotus is more fun but they stopped making them so I dont trackit at all.
What do you drive? |

This is so funny I had to repost it:

I will use this line again. |

Cool.
Secret was in the weight for you too eh?
We got our Miata down to 2005 lbs.
You have to weigh them to tag them here.
I had a that motor but just stock turbo version in a replica 1923 Mercedes SSK. I t needed your car to be safe to drive fast with that motor.
Traded for an Aztec7 gullwing with a rare alum 215 cu in V8 around the same power. I still have it. I just got an electric motor version of the same car.
Momma says sell it or the Porsche911S with the 302 Chevy V8 in the back or she is moving into the house next door. |

By the way Trickle down theory got a lot of laughs from those who travel the world.
It is an ancient idea.
As the rich get richer they create jobs and wealth for those at the bottom.
Folks at the top have amassed a level of weath in recent years that is beyond belief.
That is why the common man is doing so well in this country.
Same in Nigeria and every other country where folks are dying in mud huts.
Those countries have extremely wealthy rich peolpe who are getting richer every day.
In Europe the noble rich getting richer was so good for us that our ancestors fled, hoping to escape that system because they got tired of all those great benefits of trickle down from the rich.
So where does the average Joe do the best if not in countries with an ever richer wealthy class?
Socialist countries like Sweden have the highest taxes and the smallest wealthy class.
They also have the highest standard of living and the happiest people. |

Given the thought that your wife is a keeper, it would be Aztec7 that would have to go. I've always dreamed of owning a 911 ever since they came out in the mid 60s, so I know I would have a hard time letting one go. With a V8, it must be seriously quick. |

The Porsche makes power like thz fastest Turbos for fraction of the cost.
I just rebuilt the motor for two grand insted of twelve for a turbo.
the body is steel slantnose turbo widebody.
Made from a 70 911S like all 935 race cars up to 1978 because it was the lightest shell. |
