Kasich is a good candidate...Passionate, reasonable, experienced. Ran the budget committee when we balanced budget...popular man in a KEY swing state. Why the hell isn't he doing better with the looney bin? |

I really think the GOP must like the immigrants from Kardashia.
Here's the deal. Mrgybe quotes the one poll that most illustrates his point that folks are dissatisfied with the direction of our government and blames it on Hillary. (Never mind that the GOP Congress has a 75% disapproval rating). Never mind that many folks believe the direction is too conservative.
In this environment of sound bites and sensationalism it makes it difficult for competency to rise to the top. |

"71% of the country thinks this country is on the wrong track."
I can understand why a majority of Americans might think that we could be on the the wrong track when the favorability ratings for Republicans in Congress are in the cellar. Of course, none of our Republican cheerleaders here really want to acknowledge that, because everything negative is supposed to be President Obama's fault.
Also, regarding Hillary Clinton, the right has got to keep up the negative talking points about her right up to the election to do anything they can to erode her credibility. The information spread about her doesn't have to be true, it only needs to continually raise questions about her character. They know that if Clinton wins the Democratic nomination, they don't stand a chance in hell of winning the presidency with the cast of characters they're promoting. |

That has been my criticism of that poll since it began. It renders the poll bogus and useless. I haven't bothered to dig into the poll to see whether the problem is in the poll or in the media's presentation of it. Shame on ALL the media, including Fox, for not clarifying that issue. |

At least I'm not taking shareholders money to do something else while I am wasting time here. |

I wonder what those who hold president's to the highest standards said at the time about Bush, who ducked the military and then started a war with a wall of lies, when he appeared on the deck of an aircraft carrier announcing the job was done--while violence was increasing. Leadership, eh? |

While the favorability of Democrats is higher than Republicans, I wouldn't sing the praise too loudly.
Favorability of Democrats in Congress:
Pew - 33%
ABC - 38%
CBS - 30% |

Obama at 46%. Georgie started at 90%, with nobody calling him a liar or asking for his birth cirtificate. Right around 30% at the end. Average for second term--37%.
Gee, let's try another guy whose idea of foreign policy is "Yeehah." |
