Really? They're not building homes, cutting grass, gardening, cooking meals, working farms for Democrats? It appears to me that most Americans are willing to pimp out Mexicans at cut rate wages. It's starting to be the trend here with farm workers.

One example for you:

https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2013/03/special-interests-weigh-in-on-immig/

Private prison contractors, such as the Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), and the GEO Group have sometimes made their case in other, more subtle ways, as the Associated Press and NBC Latino report. The private prison industry is responsible for 16% of federal prisoners in the US, and makes a substantial portion of its profits from detention centers for illegal immigrants. Tougher laws would mean higher profits, while a path to citizenship could shrink revenues.
CCA, for example, says corporate policy prevents it from lobbying on issues that would “determine the basis for an individual’s incarceration or detention,” Still, OpenSecrets.org data shows the company lobbied explicitly on immigration in 2008 and 2009, although it’s not clear what aspects of the issue were of concern. And last year, work done for CCA by lobbyists at the firm Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld included “monitor immigration reform,” according to reports filed with the Senate. Other CCA lobbying reports last year indicated the company’s interest in budgets for the Department of Homeland Security and one of the agencies within it, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, with which CCA has contracts to house immigrant detainees.
In addition, the firm gave more than $870,000 in campaign contributions in the 2012 election cycle, OpenSecrets.org shows, with most of it going to Republicans. Top recipients of those contributions included Rep. Hal Rogers (R-Ky.) and Sen.Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), both known for having tough stances on immigration.
And the data shows Gang of Eight member Sen. John McCain — whose professed views on immigration have fluctuated over the years — is the fourth-highest career recipient of CCA campaign cash.

Steve...all very legitimate concerns....What is the solution? Should we enforce hiring practices of the MegaFarms? Do you think the Republicans will pressure Cargill, and Tyson? Should be build an Israeli style wall? Cost=$100B. Should we hire a million Border Agents? cost $100B. Should we start a trade war with Central America ? telling our partners to shape up? result=Walmart goes out of business.
Read the op-ed today from Buffet, Gates, Adelson...btw -Adelson is as far right as they get... Your Republican Congresspeople are failing you...

The oligarchs support only what will make themselves richer. IMO, it is both parties who've failed us. I think we can all agree that college educated, or HS diploma'd folks who speak English should get a fair place in line. (only if they support themselves financially)

Someone who's been here less than 5 years can easily go back to their country. Even 10 years. Have we lost all sense of reality? For starters there should be a constitutional amendment that only allows only 1/2 of 1% of our population to immigrate every year. They need to assimilate. Secondly, there should be means testing. Thirdly, there should be morals testing. (Lawsuits, convictions, spousal support) This is all easy stuff.

Why shouldn't the best and brightest go back to Mexico and change it for the better. Ironically, if we moved every Mexican back to Mexico, that country would rock in a decade. They'd be hopping like bees on a bear if they had to go back there. Most importantly, we should give them all the AR-15's and ammo they could carry..... Laughing

Sadly, I'd lose my wife.... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad but she'd shoot em up good!

In a speech lately, Holder said this ISIS/Iraq situation is the most frightening threat he has seen in his entire tenure. More qualified military experts agree, saying this threat to the U.S. dwarfs anything Al Qaeda even imagined.

We're running out of options there while Obama shoots pool and parties.

The Border Patrol is being advised to wear gloves, take a spare set of clothes to work, and bathe and change clothes before going home to avoid infecting their families. The BP, 2/3 of whom are now full time illegal alien relocators, say they see no evidence that these kids are receiving even basic medical care.

Do you want your kids starting school with that threat next month?

Senators and Representatives responsible to their constituents are forbidden by Obama to speak to anyone at or photograph any of these secretive centers even in their own home states. Those states' Governors are being kept in the dark about them, first learning of them, some have said, on TV.

The last figure I heard for the costs involved already is $252 per kid per day. That's 252 X 365 X 52,000 = Five Billion Dollars per year beginning NOW, before the next wave of hundreds of thousands more arrive, before their education, relocation, health care, INDIVIDUAL immigration hearing legal fees, etc. even begin. Those trillions I estimated earlier may be an understatement.

Meanwhile ...

I find the right wing ranting pretty amusing. Here is the situation:

1. American's favor some form of immigration reform that secures the borders and creates a path to citizenship for undocumented folks that have been here for a long time.
Quote:
Washington (CNN) - Americans overwhelmingly favor a bill that would give most undocumented immigrants a pathway towards citizenship, according to a new national poll.

And a CNN/ORC International survey also indicates that a majority of the public says that the government's main focus should be legalizing the status of the undocumented rather than border security.

The poll was released Thursday, the same day that House Speaker John Boehner signaled any action on immigration is unlikely this year because House Republicans don't trust President Barack Obama on the issue.

2. The article makes the point that the Republicans are afraid to allow such a bill to come up.

3. There is a piece of legislation in place that requires a hearing for children not coming from Mexico that claim they are fleeing sexual or drug trafficking violence if returned to their country.

4. The large number of children caught at the border (demonstrating that we have done a decent job of securing the border) have overwhelmed both the Border patrol and the legal systems.

5. Changing that legislation requires some form of consensus. The moderates in the middle, both Democrat and Republican, have to agree on some basic points or nothing gets through. Talking points or Obama slander will not change the dynamic.

What will happen to the lemmings with suicide vests that just outed the #2 Republican?
