Hint: it isn't a matter of believing in the war on terror or not.
And that thousand year old war you don't care about is the conflict that we have joined with IS.
If you don't care about that war,then you don't care about the war with IS.

ISIS is a marketing problem just as much as it is a war problem. Obama gets it, war hawks don't. They just cry "war on terror" and leave the room. We have 2 oceans separating us and the most heavily armed civilian population in the world. We have NSA passport checks, FBI wire taps and drones that can zap you in the dead of night. We have nuclear powered aircraft carriers holding f-18's. We have apache helicopters and submarines holding cruise missiles. All of this within a click on a computer in Iowa. What do they have? A sword and a head and a plan to recruit.

Stop the recruiting and you have greatly diminished the problem. Go to war with them and you have greatly increased the problem. A delicate balance.

Which is why the greatest marketing image I have seen yet, is a woman in a burqa flying an F-16, dropping bombs on ISIS. As seen on CNN. Glad CNN is in other countries and not Fox. Love that image.
