From NY Times:

Congress Passes $1.8 Trillion Spending Measure

"The agreement also showed just how easily a fractious legislature can seem functional again when there is agreement to spend more money, adding at least $2 trillion in debt over the next 20 years, according to the Committee for a Responsible Budget, a nonpartisan group."

This is exactly why Republicans are in open revolt. The lobbyists and politicians hate Trump because he will expose their dirty secrets.

For many decades, certainly since LONG before I could tell between an R and a D, I've hated congressmen's mindless party line voting. It says our leaders are just puppets. Is discord necessarily a bad thing?

I suppose that when it snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, it is.

When the chief architect is the Golden Boy of the Republican party, not a lot of outrage... but it was a goody bag of biblical proportions, even a 5 year extension of solar tax credits...
