What does the American far right have in common with terrorists?
In the Middle East among the religious far right, twenty percent of Muslims dislike or hate Christians and believe many Americans hate or dislike Muslims as well.
They are correct about the far right in America.57% of GOP said they hate or
dislike Muslims in a Pew poll
These two groups are right about the hate they have for each other.

The rest of the Muslim world and the left in America do not hate each other.

A recent PPP poll found that 13% of Americans believe Obama is Satan.
Terrorist leaders and the Ayatollah of Iran agree with this assessment of the the Great Satan.

These two groups are in complete agreement. The Muslims feel that Satan must be opposed so they crash into satans buildings and fight his army.

Those of you who hate all Muslims are the source of this problem.
Those of you who believe Obama is satan have joined with terrorist beliefs.
If you had any balls you would be joining Alquada to fight Satan yourself.

Wow, you might just bring the NSA to this web site with talk like that. Is this a call to arms for all those on the left?

There are extremists on both the "far" right AND left, and highlighting one side and not the other serves little purpose, but it's an interesting concept as flawed as it might be.

I beg to differ K.C.

Often, it's simply who you are, not what you do which leads to retribution. In fundamentalist Islamic states dissent can lead to victimisation, and often death. Of course, what the west does will inflame passions, but I don't accept it as the main cause, in the first place.

Our countries most senior Muslim politician (Baroness Warsi) highlighted just a few days ago what she now sees as a growing major world problem. Quote;

'a rising tide of attacks on Christians in war torn regions of Egypt, Iraq, and Syria. The bitterest irony of this persecution, discrimination, abuse, forced conversion, torture, and even murder (HER words) is that it is taking place in a region where Christianity has its roots.'

She went on, 'The threat to religious freedom has become a global crisis. In the battle against intolerance, majority Muslim communities have a duty to defend Christian minorities.'

She is clearly aware of the growing world problem with the growth of fundamentalism for its own sake.

Na, I think all the talk about "McVeigh, anthrax, the Unibomber and child molestation / pornography" did that a long time ago. Spew enough of that nonsense on enough forums and you'd have a black Suburban parked outside your house.

Techno,
There are extremists on all sides of everything. It is not necessary to discuss every extremist on the same day.

For example, there are extremists who have nothing to do with the War of Conservatives going on now between Muslim and western conservatives.

The hatred between these two groups may have not been the first shot fired but it is supporting the war.

The belief that Obama is Satan is shared by millions of Americans, the leadership of Iran, and members of AlQuada. It is a clearly stated reason for the attacks.

Got proof of that?

Which group you want evidence on? You looked up the Americans.
Do you need me to find quotes from the ayatollah or from AlQueda?

That would make the Baroness one of the bravest Muslims in the world. Bravo. There is a bloodbath within the Christian enclaves of the Middle East.

Sadly, our countries have lost tens of thousands of brave men. Politicians use them for protection of the "Military Industrial Complex" needs.

We could have simply sent Muslims home who were not legal residents after 911. Then followed the cruise missile path to the training grounds in Afghanistan, without any boots on the ground. We didn't need the NSA buildup. We needed common sense. Verifying everyone who resides in the US would have been a great 1st step, and would have saved the best men from horrible deaths in the streets of the Middle East.

Yes, she is brave to speak out Steven, but the majority of Muslims in our country appreciate our tolerance, and our traditional freedoms.

The radicals, and we have some of the worst in Europe, (remember 'The Hook' - took years of legal battles to extradite him), do not have mass support from the Muslim community, so they gain only limited traction.

The problem she was highlighting is the growing fundamentalism which is now sweeping many parts of the world. How do we co-exist in peace, with that?
