Anyone have any homemade substitutions for the backdoor floaty instead of the $19.99 GoPro floaty? |

The GoPro floaty is approx 2.5" x 1 7/8" x 0.5".
Any closed cell foam would be just as good.
The GoPro uses 3M VHB tape which is widely available _________________ Brian S

The main benefit to getting the real deal is that it comes with extra back doors for the camera, so you can have the original back door that came with the camera with nothing attached, and then a second backdoor with the floaty attached. Trade 'em out as needed.
We have just a few $14.99 versions left, which work fine if you have the Hero3 or older. Hero 3+ is smaller and as such requires a different back door. The $19.99 version has 2 doors included- one for the older cameras and one for the newer 3+. Hope that helps. _________________ formerly known as hodad.andy
