I'm guessing the narrow end towards the front to get your foot in easier as you slide the foot back?

I got this wrong too for a while until my buddies asked me why my board was going backwards! Very Happy

Front straps are upside down. The strap is wider on top of the word "Dakine" than the part below so your foot slips in and holds.

The back strap is pear shaped. Narrow part forward, wide part back. "Dakine" is right side up from the right side of the board.
