Apparently Weatherflow was keeping this a secret, but the C-Street sensor was taken down and a new one put up called "Surfer's Point at Seaside Park". You'll need to change your bookmark. You may have found their notice about it if you actually clicked on the C-Street page, despite there being a dead sensor. Why they didn't post a notice is still a mystery, I've been e-mailing with Mike Godsey about it for a couple of days.

Here's the new link for Surfer's Point at Seaside Park.

Ben,

Big thanks to the Weatherflow team for installing a new sensor at C-St. You guys rock!
Stoked to have this cause the old sensor had some accuracy issues, especially on NE events.
My vote is to keep the sensor name as before "C Street".
Any plans to update the sensor at Leo Carrillo in the near future?

Thanks

Hey Gang,

Below is the new location. Let me know how accurate it is in different winds and any correction factors.

And to be absolutely fair, it was in the newsletter.

I don't get a letter from them, don't want one either. I'm happy to have a new sensor and it's in a great spot I just don't think they handled the notification very well.

Sailed C-St today. 4.9m sail, 78L board. Sensor may be reading just a bit high if you sail in or near the cove. Side shore wind today, nice for wave riding but light if you ventured into the cove. If you sail up near the sensor where the kites launch it may be spot on. Curious, where was the old sensor?

Thanks!
Mayhem Mike

Mike,

The old one was located on top of the Derby Club adjacent to the opening to the parking lot close to where we rig and launch.

I'm stoked that you've been getting it. The wind has been great the last week. While I've been beached for months now due to shoulder surgery, I'm hoping to get back on the water real soon.
