yes yes , I know, it's a crazy fin. However, the evolution freestyle do not follow the laws of physics;-) .. is designed so that the table does not have constraints when it spins sideways .. but is very crazy .. i know
I'm curious to see what happens in the water

If the trailing edge and the tip are as represented in the picture, and if
the overall smoothness of the fin is as represented, that fin is going to spin
spin out constantly. maybe that is what you want in a freestyle fin. It'd
drive me nuts though. It is going to be extremely draggy also. Should be
salvageable with the appropriate amount of cutting and sanding, until
smooth and continuous though.

hi !
I have reprinted this fin in vertical mode ( horizontally is more hard but more rough), the resolution is better and does not need sanding.
My foot on the rear traps is light as a feather but I'll try to see if the board goes into a spin-out
I will let you know

Looks to me like you have a basic structure, but it needs much more detail attention to fill the voids, and ultimately smooth everything out. There is way too much drag as things stand right now.

Hey Negozio, if you want to try getting your final design printed on a higher quality machine, let me know and Ill hook you up! I recently printed a 15cm freeride fin and it works great.

hi edoremus ,
I tried the fin printed in "pla", worked very well but broke down after a few minutes (filling 50%!!!!), I knew would happen, now I will use abs
I have to change it a little then I'll send you in .obj or .stl ... so you can try a "made in Italy" fin ...
which machine you use for printing?

stl is preferred! I would most likely use a Stratasys Fortus 400mc (FDM). If you want yours printed, we have a material called Ultem 9085 (http://www.rnd-tech.com/materials/fdm-thermoplastics/ultem-9085). Tensile and flexural strength are double that of ABS. I bet if you tried it out it would last much longer than your ABS printed fin. If you want, I can probably get it made for you at the cost of material.
