Any reports from the coast? Based on IWs looks like it's been windy maybe too much. Any reports from Florence south to Pistol? Thanks.

Cool, I assume you're talking about Pistol. How do points north look (Newport, Florence)?

Sailed Florence Thurs/Fri/Sat the sandbars are set up pretty well, not really enough ground swell but the wind waves were still pretty fun until it dropped Saturday to waist high. We tried Newport Thursday but as usual she just wouldn't give it up for the sailors, kiters having a blast.

It was powered 4.2/4.5 all three days at Florence. Simmer rider Trudy Lary was killing it on her 3.4 and the boys were hanging on to 4.7s.

All in all a good warm-up weekend on the Central Coast, no bombs to ride but none to avoid either, plenty of wind, and surprisingly, a 4:1 sailor to kiter ratio.

We saw a few Washington plates down from a windy early season in the Gorge, love to see Gorge riders bounce a windy Corridor for some coast wavesailing. We hope to see it more!!

North coast was juiced 4.7 Friday with smallish, but fun rideable swell and good jumping. Two kites that disappeared on a downwinder and one sailor, me. Saturday was gusty fluky 4.7 and flat. One sailor packing it in when I arrived late in the afternoon. Sunday morning was flat so I bailed for the Gorge.

The entire coast has had a lot of wind for so early in the season. The same set up that makes the corridor windy often makes the coast go too. No need to wait for the Gorge to go flat to head for the coast.
