Hi Gang,

About a week ago, at the very beginning of the unending SW flow, I asked you to set a reminder on your smart phone for the fading of SW flow and the return of NW wind on Wednesday July 23.

It looks like I was wrong. The SW flow will end Tuesday, July 23, but the full brunt of the North Pacific High's surface NW winds will not arrive until Wednesday night or Thursday. These won't be epic winds....just a return to the normal combo of NW and SW flow.

The videos below give you a preview of the ocean winds Tuesday versus Thursday.

Use this blog link for details about why the NW winds are returning to bring wind to the Peninsula and Waddell.

Enjoy!

Now at 12:50 PM the wind on hilltops, which has been mostly SW for many days, is ramping up from the NW. While the wind map below shows that the ocean buoys are turning NW as are many of the coast and inland sensors.

Looks like the SW Blast from the Past is over. Look for lighter AM Sherman Island winds tomorrow and increasing Peninsula and Waddell winds.
