Too bad the earlier equipment was sold before you could pick it up. The other four boards pictured are not something that you should buy. They are very old and not really suitable for learning the sport. Look for something with a daggerboard like the F2 Phoenix you missed, a classic longboard with daggerboard, or some of the later model wide-style boards like the Starboard Go or Rio. Remember, volume and width can be your friend learning the sport. Also, if you can, try to look for a complete kit that includes everything. Buying different components piecemeal can be tougher to do, and it would tend to be more costly. However, if you can find the perfect board, you might just pick it up and concentrate on the sail, mast, boom, mast extension and universal components later. Later model sails and components are best (2000 and later), and you should make sure that any boom is a clamp-on design.

Those boards look too old to work with modern sails, mast track too far forward.
