Hey everybody,
I've been sailing for about a year now on some really old gear. Its been fun, but i'm ready to move on. I recently purchased some new ( To me ) gear on cragslist. See/pics and list below.
1.
First, from the gear I have, what would be the best rig for 15-20mph conditions?
2.
You may be able to tell that on my 4.7 Rushwind sail there is a good size tear in the top panel. Whats the best method for repair?
Thanks for taking the time to answer!

MPR, Veloce, carbon boom if it's long enough, and PX mast, with the fin installed, should get you going in "15-20mph" winds if you weigh less than 160 lbs.
If you can pump and use your legs, ride a swell to get going, maybe 175 lbs, or a little more.

For repair, good quality packing tape. Clean thoroughly, apply generously to both sides. Redo it if necessary in 3-5 years, if sail otherwise usable. dhmark

since you have but one mast its the PX
since you have but one fin its that one, size is maybe good for both, but a little long for the Presto.
boom same, hope it adjusts to all the sails in quiver, oh the tie is a relic, everyone need one in the rafters.
sail the NP 6.1 is the primary go too, the smaller Naish when its really windy.
the 6.8 if its as you say, keep the battens and dumpster the rest.
Rushwind, and be repaired with heavy duty packing tape, wont last forever, clean the area and tape both sides, dont spill beer on it until dry
Veloce is large for the Naish, the 6.1 ..nice
Presto I have this in 118L, its from a bygone era, but used it last year a few times as a teaching platform. a smaller fin 36cm would help on both board, since they are both TRIM Box, and you could interchange as it get windy or opposite.
you dont mention a base foot and extension.. you need these to attach the rig to the board.
Where do you sail ?

I sail in Madison Wi. You say the naish is only good for when its really windy. What do you mean by that? 18-20 windy? (with that gear)

the Naish is close if not at the bottom end of the Veloce 137L limit, the 2 boards in reality are close in Liters, but different.
The Presto at 122L may handle the Naish sail ok. But again a smaller fin.
either board will take any of your sails, but when the wind is strong enough either board will become TOO large to handle.
the Naish Alanda size would //could//should work on the Presto up to 25MPH/KTS abouts.
My suggestion is rig something, get on the water and see what works for you,
re rig if necessary up or down and make mental notes, you can make adjustment to the sail by additional downhaul or outhaul, and a smaller fin
