So Brian Burke is 70. Pardon me Brian, if you hate this, but I'm sure I speak for all the Grim Reachers (Pinchers too) in wishing you all the best on this special day! I have two families, one of them is rubber clad and salty...and Brian is my big brother. (hell, I'm only 63)
I've known Brian as long as I've been sailing Berkeley and I truly value his friendship. A unique human...an artist, painting liquid landscapes across our beloved bay. Sometimes I can keep up with him, but I can never pass him.
See you on the water, Wind Brother!

Amazing, one word.

My spouse keeps saying "aren't you getting too old for this?"
But clearly it is keeping us young - at heart as well as body.
Happy Birthday Brian!
Hope to see you at PI (or Berkeley) again today.
Cheers, David

He "says" he's 70. Not accusing him of lying, but I do find it a little suspicious that we've never seen his birth certificate.
...just sayin'

As three of us silverhairs were rigging one windy day last spring, a 50-something "civilian" walked over and said, "Holy Cow! I thought this was a young man's sport!" Guys like Brian disprove that rumor.
