On its face, I agree with Dershowitz--if people are unhappy with having a vicious, bullying hypocrite for a governor they should vote him out. If that's the story. But if the story is Perry is trying to stop a probe of a stupid program that he put in place that has scandals associated with it, he's toast. Facts matter. That's why the GOP hates them. |

My friend in Texas says that such bullying is usual in Texas politics.
That's why, in a fit of good government, they passed a bipartisan bill making such actions illegal. It was aimed right at those who were leaning on corruption investigations. There is a big problem with that he said.
Perry has been there a long time, giving him a chance to rack up a lot of home runs in the bullying contest.
That makes you enemies in both Parties among honest men.
If you are a drunk who drives , your DA friends get DUIs no problem, then this lady is treated differently by you, it is unethical. Esp. If you blatantly tell it like it is around town. Over a drink ?Who knows.
That is the problem.
The law is mostly likely to be enforced when a guy finally goes too far. That serves to remind others to avoid kicking everybody around, even in Texas. |

Then why is everybody moving there? Could it be their business friendly environment, or are they being forced out of California and the NW at gunpoint? |

Yeah, my daughter just sold her 1st home for a 80% increase in price over 2 1/2 years. I'm begging her to rent now instead of leveraging up, because RE values in the bay area will be toast over the next 5 years.
No matter what you say, there is more population growth in TX, because of jobs and opportunity for the small business man. |

hmm gunpoint... well as we know the states with the most murders and rapes and lowest test scoring perpopulation are virtually the whos who of red states. I bet lowest wages too. _________________ when good people stay silent the right wing are the only ones heard.

You will find information on the following:
Purple States: How the seeming sea of red on the electoral map is a scam to panic the 49% who voted blue.
Education: Blue states are better educated than red states.
Degrees: Blue staters are more likely to go to college
Divorce: Blue staters are more likely to stay married
Mothers: Blue staters are less likely to get pregnant in their teen years
Lynchings: Blue staters are less likely to ignore the law
Slavery: The Red States have racism and the victims of racism.
Shootings : Blue Staters are less likely to shoot each other to death
Driving : Blue Staters drive better
Crime and Drunk Driving: Law abiding Blues don't let their friends drive drunk
Income, Success, Big Goverment: Blues make more money, are more successful, and have to carry the Red welfare states on our backs.
Sports - Blues are the kings of baseball and football.
Obesity - Red State voters are fat
But is America really that divided?
