What's happening in Eastern Windsurfing this Fall? Just a windsurfing calendar refresher:
• East Coast Windsurfing Festival at Kalmus this weekend featuring Caesar Finies: http://www.ecwindfest.org/
• NJ Windsurfing and Watersports Festival at Sandy Hook this Sunday: 48 signed up already. http://www.windsurfnj.org/learn/learn.htm
• American Wave Tour @ Hatteras 15-20 September.
• ABK East Coast Clinics at Tiana, West Atlantic City, and Hatteras (two clinics). Get better at windsurfing via the best lessons available. Long Island @ Tiana 19-21 Sept; West Atlantic City @ Extreme Windsurfing 26-28 Sept; Hatteras @ Hatteras Island Surf Shop in Waves 13-17 October and 22-24 October. As a ABK veteran, it changed my windsurfing life. http://abkboardsports.com/.
It's all good. Sign up. Get out there. Join in and get stoked for your windsurfing. Improve your technique. And I'm sure BABA (Baltimore Board Sailing Ass'n) and WET (Windsurfing Enthusiasts of Tidewater) also have some events. And there is more.....Kona Worlds and Youth RS:X Worlds in Florida.

We missed you this weekend, Coach! Had a great time at the ECWF Cape Cod - sunshine, wind, and a great crowd. Nice mix of generations, from under-18 to 70+, with lots of young windsurfers participating. Big thanks to the sponsors and Eddie Devereaux for taking lots of great pictures.

Awesome, that is quite a large group. ECWF's are fabulous and thanks to the Richterich's and Burn's family and friends for hosting and running both the Long Island and Cape Cod events.
After a family event, on Sunday, I was at NJ Windsurfing and Watersports Festival at Sandy Hook for the one day event. We had about 60+ people and Tom Latham with his assistants ran a windsurfing race, 35 beginners, SUP paddle, and SUP yoga, and other fun stuff. H20 Windsurfing with Ken and Ilean Hoff provided their fabulous gear for the beginners. I was quite impressed.
Holy cow, American Windsurfing Tour starts today.
We need small windsurfing schools to spring up and we need every windsurfer to learn to teach the sport we love.
As the new appointed NE Director for US Windsurfing, I welcome input and suggestions. Most important for us to have a collective "growth mindset" and to participate and give back to a fabulous activity.....windsurfing. US Windsurfing has great Facebook page, we have a great President Jerome Samson and now a new Exec. Dir. Cody Stewart.
