What is the name of your company? Do you have a web site? Do you make other products besides harnesses? I will take your survey, but would like a little more info first please. |

A waist Harness that won't slip.
And I think I finally found it as I just got a
Pro Limit Team Wave . (I love this Harness)
The best I found before that was the Pro Limit
Type T . (at least for me)
The other thing is most company's don't usually make
a Harness sized for bigger guys/gals.
Well comfort and ease of use would be the next thing
and I think pro limit has it there to.

I'd like to see somebody pick up where Dakine left off when they discontinued their surfseat harness. It had comfortable leg straps, and a high hook placement, that was a slider, nobody makes something like that anymore, that I have found anyway. |

I had one of those wave seats.
It took forever to get in it and get it adjusted
it could not ride up but was pretty confining not
what new school triksters or wave riders would want.
Can't figure out why people want a sliding harness that
you have to hunt for to hook in . |

Amen! That's why my buds who got a slider modified them to stop it. |

Twitchtheirown, I need to rotate my hips so I can face the direction I'm going, I've got much more leverage that way, especially upwind.
And I never have to hunt for the hook, after awhile, you always know where it ends up, second nature and all that. |

I am not going to click on that link either. But if someone would like to make a waist harness that fits, it shouldn't be too difficult. Currently, they all seem to be designed around a skinny 20 year old. At minimum, for the more typical 45+ year old male windsurfer, the sides need to be well under the rib cage. The back could be designed with interchangeable lumbar pads, in a couple of different sizes, which would attach using Velcro, like the size adjustments on a bike helmet. Even better would be to use a heat-moldable plastic panel like those used on some lumbar back braces. These braces can be cinched quite tightly while giving your back real support and comfort as well. I would start by looking at some of these.

I don't even like Dakine's Power Belt, as it interferes with deep diaphramatic breathing. No way I'm gonna wear a corset. Besides, age has little to do with the condition we can be in; paunch and weakness are choices, not mandates; they diminish both the length and quality of our lives, including our windsurfing. It's up to each of us to take that fact as criticism or as motivation.
Oh ... my Dakine harnesses -- XTSeats or Surfseats, maybe both -- used to come with removable/adjustable lumbar supports. |
